Here at The Project, we firmly believe that we are made for community. However, finding people to do life with can be easier said than done. It may be daunting to join a small group or meet new people, but you never know what can happen in your life when you take a chance.
Our hope is to provide you with life-giving opportunities to meet other young adults while exploring and growing in your relationship with Jesus.
At the end of the day, you need people and people need you.

When it comes to small groups, less is more! We want you to get the most out of your group, so invest in one or two rather than signing up for too many. This also ensures that everyone gets a spot.

Some groups have a unique way to register, and others may not require you to sign up at all. Read through the descriptions thoroughly so you know what your next steps are.

Your leaders are putting in a great deal of time and effort into your group. It is imperative that you communicate with them so that they can plan accordingly. Is the group no longer a fit for you? Do you have to miss a meeting? No sweat, just let them know as soon as possible.
Please note that if you miss 2 meetings (bi-weekly groups) or 3 meetings (weekly groups) without communication, you will be removed from the group and your spot will be given to someone else.

Location: Niche Climbing Gym
Time: Mondays (Bi-Weekly) 6:30-8:30PM
Climb rocks, and grow your faith! Join our young adults small group at Edmonton's newest bouldering gym (Niche Climbing), where we meet bi-weekly on Mondays to scale walls, share laughs, and talk about life (and occasionally falling… but in a spiritual sense). You’ll need to cover the cost of your pass and rental shoes (if necessary). No experience needed--just bring your enthusiasm, and maybe some chalk!

Time: Saturday/Sunday (Bi-weekly) 3:00-4:00 PM
We will be playing (indoor) tennis once every week or two. This group welcomes every level and it's a fun way to stay active during the winter months - come join us if you're interested in either learning or maintaining and improving your tennis skills. 🎾🎾 Because we will have to book our court(s), we will decide which day to play on based on poll results. However, tentative schedule for this small group is for Sunday afternoons, and possibly Saturday as an alternative. There is a $10 fee each day a court is booked.

This is a college aged girls only Bible study intended for those who love early mornings. To seek the Lord first thing and study His word in community. Each time we meet we will spend time in prayer and discussion over a tbd book of the Bible.

This small group is a space for young adults to build connections, make new friendships, and grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. We will study the Bible together, starting with 1 Timothy and then moving into 2 Timothy, going through one chapter each week. We will discuss what we learn, ask questions, share our thoughts, and talk about how we can apply God’s Word to our everyday lives. My hope is that this group will help us become more rooted in Scripture and grow spiritually as followers of Christ. And live out our faith not only within the small group but also in our everyday lives outside of it.

I believe wholeheartedly that reading, digesting, and discussing the Word of God can change our lives in a radical way. My walk with God only became real to me when I began to truly engage with His Word and apply its teachings to my life. As I’ve experienced that transformation firsthand, I’ve become more and more fired up to see that same kind of breakthrough happen in the lives of those around me. Through these meetings I hope and pray that a passion for the Word of God would ignite in your heart. I hope our discussions and time together will open all of our eyes to new ways to read and process Scripture. I hope we connect and build relationships that we can rely on. I know we will grow in understanding, wisdom, and most importantly, our relationship with God. This group will primarily focus on the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Colossae. Colossians is one of my favourites, and by the end of the study I hope it will be one of yours too. Each Thursday we will meet at our building and work through that week’s text. Appetizers and snacks will be provided on your first week, and afterwards we’ll all bring a little something to share. I can’t wait to meet y’all and connect!

Faith & Flourish is a women centered Bible study on learning to become the woman God created you to be. We will be exploring stories of various women in scripture from those that are well-known such as Esther and Ruth, to those that are lesser-known yet still pivotal in God's plan. We will discover how the stories of these women can impact how we live our own lives today and learn what it can really mean to be a woman of God.

What does it really mean to be saved by grace? How should the Gospel shape the way we live? Why does Romans continue to change lives nearly 2,000 years after it was written? This fall, we’ll be walking through
Paul’s letter to the Romans, one of the most profound, theologically rich, and life-changing books in the Bible. Together, we’ll explore God’s righteousness, humanity’s need for salvation, the beauty of grace, life in the Spirit, and what it truly means to follow Christ in everyday life. This isn’t just another Bible study. It’s a place to ask honest questions, wrestle with difficult passages, learn the historical and biblical context behind the text, and discover how every chapter points us to knowing Christ. Whether you’re brand new to studying the Bible or you’ve been following Christ for years, there’s a place for you here.

Our purpose is to build community and be a place where we can form friendships, have fun, and do life together. We desire to grow together in our faith as followers of Christ by serving each other, the church, and our local community and beyond. This is an eclectic group of singles, couples, leaders, attendees all with a passion to make a difference in our communities and ultimately in our world. Scriptures & Hangs is a bi-weekly small group where faith, friendship, and community meet. This semester, we’ll be walking through The Best of Friends, a five-part series by Phil Knox that explores the power of friendship, how Jesus modeled relational living, and how meaningful connections can transform our lives in a lonely world.
On alternating Sundays, we’ll take advantage of Edmonton’s summer with park walks, the top food spots, bowling, laser tag, and all the fun events happening around the city.
Whether you’re new or returning, this semester is all about building real friendships, growing spiritually, and enjoying the best parts of summer together. Come connect, learn, and hang with us!

Welcome! This group is dedicated to the study, defense, and proclamation of the Christian faith as we engage with Islam. Here we tackle the questions Muslims most often raise, such as "Where did Jesus say I am God, worship me?", and we answer them from Scripture, history, and sound reasoning. We examine both the Quran and the Bible, comparing their claims about God, Jesus, salvation, and revelation, so that every member is equipped to give a clear and confident answer. Our heart is to love Muslims in truth, sharing the gospel boldly while treating every person with dignity. Our goal is that you will always be ready to engage, as 1 Peter 3:15 commands: "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." We critique ideas, not people, so keep all discussion civil, sourced, and truthful. Whether you are a seasoned apologist or just starting out, you are welcome here.

This small group will be based on The Sacred Search by Gary Thomas and will explore how we can approach dating and relationships in a more intentional, biblical way. We’ll talk about things like character, faith, purpose, and what it means to pursue a God-centered relationship. There will be eight video sessions that we’ll go through bi-weekly, along with time for discussion and getting to know each other. We’ll also plan a few fun activities throughout the small group! This group is for anyone who is single or currently dating and wants to grow in their understanding of relationships and how to honor God through them.

There are so many things in this world that define what masculinity is but we want to go to God's word to search for our identity. Prayer Gather small group is for young adults at every spiritual level who first and foremost love prayer, have questions regarding prayer, anyone who wants to desires and loves corporate prayer, wants to join a prayer community to say the least. We will always have biblical discussions challenging our minds on ideologies and doctrines of what prayer is, the power of prayer with reference to biblical figures and so forth. We will create a space to help everyone develop a love for prayer because sometimes it can be boring if you do not have the right structure/foundations or even intent. Lastly, we will have regular moments of practical steps to pray for the church (The Project/Hope City), the city of Edmonton, this country, our families, for one another, and a safe space for spontaneous moments to worship, and testify e.t.c.

Everyone believes something about God. Explaining why can be harder. Some of us grew up where every belief was a hill to die on. Others grew up where nothing was worth defending. Neither leaves you much to stand on. Over eight weeks we'll work through the big ones: who God is, who we are, who Jesus is, what the Spirit does, what it means to be saved, and how the whole Bible fits together. We'll spend most of our time on the majors — the core truths the Christian church has held since the beginning. And along the way we'll talk about some of the minors, the secondary places where faithful believers land differently. Expect a bit of teaching, some discussion, and space to reflect. No prerequisites, and no background needed — everyone's welcome. It's an introduction to these topics, not an in-depth academic study. Come with questions. Leave with a solid starting place — and a clearer sense of what you believe and why.

The Slow Yes is a space for young women who want to think deeply, live intentionally, and fall more in love with the Word, one week at a time. We meet bi-weekly for an 8-month season with 7 meetings each semester. Our first semester walks through John Mark Comer's Practicing the Way Witness Practice, examining how we actually love - God, others, and ourselves - in the small, daily choices that shape a life.
The Slow Yes is a commitment to pace: to weigh before we leap, to listen before we speak, and to let conviction, not impulse, shape our decisions.
